The Ukrainian defenders “gnaw through” the defenses of the Russian occupiers in the Melitopol direction and do not allow the enemy to return to their lost positions.
He noted that units of the 15th operational brigade of the National Guard, together with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, continue the offensive in the Melitopol direction.
According to him, our assault groups continue their gradual movement to the south and southeast in the most difficult conditions of mined terrain and enemy fire. We are talking about 251 shelling from MLRS, tanks and artillery and 4 air strikes per day.
“Our soldiers and officers are literally ‘gnawing through’ the enemy’s defenses. Assault groups operate in close cooperation with other units,” he said.
Separately, Urshalovich noted the engineering units, which, with their courageous and professional actions, ensure success during offensive operations.
“Every day we have an advance of several hundred meters. At the achieved lines, our units are consolidated and do not allow the enemy to regain lost positions with the help of counterattacks,” he added.
Situation at the forefront
The Ukrainian military continues to advance in the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdyansk directions . In particular, they were successful in the directions of Mala Tokmachka – Verbovoye, Novodanilovka – Robotino.
Yesterday it was reported that our fighters advanced 1 km along the front line in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions .
