Ukraine Due to Russian Threats to Sink Ships Promised to Respond in Kind

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine made a statement about the movement of ships in the Black Sea. We are talking about ships plying to the ports of the Russian Federation, or located in the occupied territories.

As stated in the department, Russia began to openly threaten civilian ships that transport food from Ukrainian ports. In recent days, the Kremlin has turned the Black Sea into a danger zone. Responsibility for all risks lies entirely with the Russian leadership.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense noted that the fate of the Moskva cruiser proves that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have the necessary means to repel Russian aggression at sea.

“The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine warns that from 00:00 on July 21, 2023, all ships sailing in the Black Sea in the direction of the seaports of the Russian Federation and Ukrainian seaports located on the territory of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia may be considered by Ukraine as carrying military cargo with all the associated risks,” the report said.

Also, from 05:00 on July 20, 2023, in the areas of the North-Eastern Black Sea and the Kerch-Yenikal Strait of Ukraine, navigation is prohibited as dangerous.

“Relevant navigational information for sailors has already been made public,” the Ministry of Defense wrote.

It is worth recalling that after Russia announced its withdrawal from the “grain deal”, the aggressor country launched large-scale shelling of southern Ukraine. Tonight, the Russian Federation launched the third consecutive massive combined strike on the cities of Ukraine using cruise missiles and kamikaze drones. Nikolaev and Odessa suffered.

Russia’s withdrawal from the “grain agreement”

On July 17, the Kremlin refused to extend the “grain agreement” . The press secretary of the Russian dictator Dmitry Peskov said that the agreements on the “grain initiative” were actually terminated.

After that, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that Turkey and the UN continue the “grain initiative” in a trilateral format . The state is considering the possibility of transporting food through the territorial waters of Romania and Bulgaria .

On July 19, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation threatened that any countries under whose flag ships were sent to Ukrainian ports would be considered involved in the war.

At the same time, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that Russia would resume its participation in the “grain agreement” only if the West fulfills a number of requirements .
