The epicenter of hostilities for the Russian army is still the eastern front – it is there that the strategic directions of the enemy offensive are located.
According to her, Russia believes that the intensification of attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the East will supposedly help turn the tide at the front. At the moment, heavy fighting is observed in the Kupyansky, Limansky and Svatovsky directions.
“The number of enemy attacks has increased. There are heavy battles. The goal of the enemy is to pull our forces to these directions in the direction of the offensive and break through our defenses. In addition, in the Kupyansk direction, the enemy set a goal to return the territories lost last fall,” said Malyar.
The Ministry of Defense also reported on the aggravation of the situation in the Bakhmut, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions. At the same time, in the South, the Ukrainian military continues to conduct an offensive operation.
The enemy is putting up fierce resistance. In addition to continuous mining on key commanding heights, the enemy equipped protected concrete engineering fortifications. In such difficult conditions, our troops are gradually, but very persistently moving forward,” concluded Malyar.
Recall that over the past day, the Russian army has lost another 640 servicemen in Ukraine . In general, a full-scale invasion has already led to the death of 248 thousand 490 invaders.
