The Armed Forces of Ukraine localized the “big offensive” of the Russian military on the Kupyansk-Liman line. The tactics of the Ukrainian fighters are unchanged.
According to Cherevaty, during the day on the Kupyansk-Liman line, 568 attacks, 17 air raids, as well as four vain assaults on the enemy in the areas of Masyutovka and Liman Pervy took place.
The Defense Forces destroyed:
- 20 occupants,
- 55 were injured,
- rocket system “Grad” was hit,
- two mortars,
- two kamikaze drones “Lancet”,
- reconnaissance drone “Orlan-10”.
“They try to beat them as much as possible with artillery and aircraft, and then they storm. This happens for several months in a row, they have not even achieved any local success. The “big offensive” that they announced in the spring is localized, they cannot seize the initiative,” Cherevaty said.
In the morning, the military announced that the enemy was advancing in the area of Bakhmut and Donetsk, and was also trying to repel positions near Priyutnoye in the south, about 30 clashes took place in the Donbass per day.
Counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The General Staff reported that the Ukrainian military continues to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdyansk directions . In particular, they were successful in the directions of Velikaya Novoselka – Staromayorskoye and Novoselka – Staromayorskoye.
Meanwhile, in the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders are conducting offensive operations north and south of Bakhmut. Note that the Russians were forced to retreat from their positions northeast of Orekhovo-Vasilyevka.
It should be noted that today, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky said that in the Bakhmut area, where heavy fighting continues, all conditions have already been created so that the Ukrainian defense forces can return the city under their control.
