JOHANNESBURG – The case of eight people, claiming to be the parents of eight Zimbabwean children, will resume in the North Gauteng High Court.

They’re seeking an urgent interim order against the children’s transfer back to Zimbabwe.

They also want access to the children who have been held in Rustenburg since November.

The children, aged between two and 14, were taken into custody after they were found in a truck.

It’s understood they were travelling to Cape Town to be with their parents.

The Social Development Department says it’s concerned about how the undocumented children entered the country.
